*Note the charter is being reworked by the officers this is just a copy from our old webpage. The Chosen Circle Guild Beliefs Honor and Honesty: The most valuable possession a Guild member can give is his word. No item or weapon he carries has as much potential to harm or help the guild. Exploration: Seek new sights, new sounds, see what no Norrathian has seen before. New lands and planes to explore and chart. Protect the Innocent: The innocent peoples of Norrath have suffered far too long under the ever-present threat of certain creatures. Creatures such as Orcs, Gnolls, Goblins, and the Undead have caused terror to those unable to defend themselves. It is the duty of the Guild to see that these threats to peace are controlled in whatever way possible. Either through the taming of these creatures or through their destruction we must ensure that the people of Norrath feel safe in their homes. It is also the Guild's duty to preserve the lives of our fellow Norrathians who seek these same goals. Intelligence in Battle: Know the strengths and weakness of your enemy. More importantly, know your own strengths and weaknesses. All members of the Guild are expected to use good judgement when entering into battle. Know the Strengths and weaknesses of your brothers and sisters to help the guild achieve victory. Above all else listen and respect those who are leading the guild into battle. Win or Lose they are to be respected. Loyalty to the Guild: Consider your Guild brothers/sisters above all others in Norrath. Guild Structure Guild Leader: The Guild Leader is responsible for approving the decisions of the Council Members. As such the Guild Leader as the power to veto any decisions made by the Council with less than a two thirds vote. The Guild Leader retains his position until such time as he is unable to continue as Leader or until the Guild Council finds him unfit to continue as Leader. Upon the absence of a Guild Leader the Guild Members must nominate replacements. After replacements have been nominated a general election will be held to determine the new Guild Leader. Inner Circle: The Council consists of nine Guild members. These members vote on all Guild influencing decisions. A majority vote decides an issue while a two thirds vote nullifies the Guild Leader's power of veto. It is also up to the Council to ensure the fitness of the Guild Leader. In the event that the Guild Leader is deemed unable to continue his position the Council members must cast a two thirds vote to remove the Leader from office. The Guild Leader position is to be filled from the Council in the absence of a Leader. An absence in the Council is to be filled from the Advisors by election by the remaining members of the Guild Council with the Guild Leader filling in the empty position for election purposes. Circle Advisors: There shall be three advisors. One advisor for every three members of the Inner Circle, and if they Inner Circle is ever increased in number then the number of advisors are likewise increased. Advisors do not vote on matters but they advise and can propose new ideas. Advisors are next in line for the Inner Circle. The Chosen: The Chosen are the most important members of the Guild. The Guild members determine the election of the Guild Leader. More importantly though the Guild members are on the front lines of the battle to protect the values of the Guild. If anyone is offended by what is said in the channel it is their responsibility to bring it to the speakers attention. If the speaker continues then the offended member must inform an officer who will then take the matter into hand. Guild Raids Raids are the lifeblood of the guild and allow us to continue to grow and set new goals. 1) First and foremost respect the Raid Leader. Whether the call he/she makes is good/bad in your opinion its his/her call to make and the Raid leader cannot learn from mistakes that he/she doesn't have the chance to make. 2) Members are expected to attend raids, but not required. The guild is based on friendship and as a friend it is expected to help guildmates, but occasionally it is alright to do what feels right at the time for you. 3) Loot is to be determined by the raid leader. If you do not agree with the determination then refer to rule one in this section. Do not be offended, loot can and will drop again and there will be more chances. Leaving the Guild Members who leave the guild in must reapply as if joining for the first time. This is done to show there is no favoritism. The application will be handled just as a normal one would with the exception that no sponsors are needed to call a vote. |
